Paper Plus is a one-stop party store where you'll find all the party goods you need
Paper Plus is a unique, 3,000 square foot retail party supply store packed to the ceiling with party goods, balloons, piñatas, concession rentals, and so much more. It’s a one of a kind party goods store that’s been in Berkeley, California for over 28 years.
In the beginning, we were mostly a stationery and closeout paper store receiving closeouts from Papyrus, card reps and gift show booths. As the Internet began to affect card purchases, supplies of closeouts began to dry up. We adapted by supplying specialty papers and fancy envelopes to allow people to design and print their own invites, thank you cards, and wedding programs.
Our holiday half price cards were so popular that we began adding holiday party goods, decorations and all items that would complement the theme of that particular holiday.
We then branched out to everyday party goods including specialty themes such as casino, luau, and breast cancer.
We started doing balloons seriously about 15 years ago along with the addition of our Balloon Mobile making balloon delivery possible. Now we do all kinds of custom balloon décor: everything from birthday balloons, Mylar balloons, Bar/Bat Mitzvah balloons to 100 year old birthday party celebrations. We have a certified balloon artist on the premise and our employees have extensive balloon expertise. Balloon orders are done on the spot or can be scheduled in advance. We discuss the customer’s event to get the feel for their design ideas, their color scheme and their budget.
At Paper Plus, we love hearing our customers exclaim “You have everything”. We strive to be a one-stop party supply shopping experience. Upon moving into our new space 8 years ago (exactly right next door from our old location), we have expanded whole sections designated entirely to one category. We started by adding licensed ensembles for kids birthdays, then we created an entire craft section, a baking section, and areas designated for theme events such as weddings, baby showers, and office supplies.
We carry merchandise that makes us unusual, such as our wall of stickers on a roll which can be purchased by the perforation, or our large variety of piñatas which hang from the ceiling.
We are a small group of employees run by a sole proprietor, but we have the expertise you would expect from a much larger company. We work seamlessly to offer high-quality service to every customer that comes through the door.
