How long have you been in business?
Our business was opened in Hayward in 1996 by Don Munson. Don managed the Kirsch company (the company that invented the drapery rod) for 37 years prior to that.
What is your primary product or service?
Drapery hardware, drapery rods, curtain rods, wood drapery rods, metal drapery rods. We also specialize in motorized window treatment products.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I came on board in 1998. I was in the medical equipment industry. What made this so successful was that I was able to learn about every piece and part, how everything works from a man that had seen many of the products developed.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I guess that because of the abut 55 years of experience we have had to offer we know more about drapery hardware than most anyone.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We now sell online from our website. That way we can offer the same service at a much reduced price.
What type of payments do you accept?
Credit card, check, cash
Which areas do you service?
The United States. Our business in Hayward became the largest drapery hardware distributor in the Western United States.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
David Diehl is the owner
What are your hours of operation?
Mon-Fri 8-5:00 but if you e-mail we are usually working on Saturday too.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
We have had customers in the design trade state that they don't know how anyone can get their jobs designed without us.
