How long have you been in business?
I have personally been in the telecom business since 1985, started working in sales in Brisbane Ca, selling TIE communications equipment. ACD has been in business since 1993, 20 years in business this year with a fine tradition of keeping our customer base satisfied and on top of the latest trends. What is your primary product or service?
We do almost every tech you can imagine except fire alarms , we have installed everything from door entry systems to video surveillance to network and data switches and routers with great results and good satisfaction from our customers.We are experts at implementation and management of telephone systems, both legacy and VOIP, and Data Networks, along with Video Surveillance to our clients as well. How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The idea of voice communications still fascinates me , and we are constantly challenged in this business to innovate and adapt to new technologies.Bottom line is that regardless of the latest tech thing device system or fad,,,, in the end its still about what your customer needs, and how to get it done quickly and keep them happy. Our job is to find new technologies, master them quickly and get it done!
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We stick to the basics, just like in baseball,( Go Giants!) you cant be a superstar, if you can't catch the ball, which means seeing the ball , throw the ball properly and hit consistently against opponents. We strive to return phone calls asap, stick to our appointment times, communicate with the customer if we are going to be late, and install equipment so that it keeps working for a long time with no problems. We try to make sure the details are not left out, and that the customer is trained thoroughly, with ongoing training a priority.
